| Reminder: The Spring 2001 Finals will be held at Referees in Old Orchard Beach on Saturday May 19th at 4pm, followed by the awards ceremony for the season. Everyone is welcome to attend! If the parking lot is charging, you should be able to park right across the street at Memorial Park for free. We checked with the OOB town hall, and they are not planning to put up parking meters etc. till the following week. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 5/6/2001 - The Saco River Dart League has
two board vacancies to fill for the upcoming season. Secretary,
which is a voting position, will be up for election again in December, so
this is a fill-in for the remainder of the current term two-year
term. Statistician, which is a non-voting position, is an indefinite
term decided by the board. Please see the By-Laws
for a complete description of both these positions and their duties and
obligations.
Anyone who is interested in becoming the league Secretary or Statistician, please come to the next board meeting to be interviewed. | 04/03/2001 - If your roster drops to less than 6 players, you may request a permanent roster change under the hardship rule. See Article 4, Section 3, Part B of the Rules. In your letter to the board, please outline which player(s) you want to drop, name(s) and previous league experience of those you want to add, and finally a list showing your complete proposed new six-man roster. This will speed up the processing of your request. If your roster change is approved, you may shoot only those six players for the remainder of the season. I WOULD LIKE TO APPOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE FOR THE ERRORS THAT HAVE OCCURRED. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION LAST WEEKS NEWSLETTER HAD INCORRECT STANDINGS FOR THE B DIVISION. I WAS THEN CONCERNED FOR ALL DIVISIONS STANDINGS. I HAVE FOUND A FEW ERRORS IN THE OTHER DIVISIONS AS WELL. We will probably be picking up the setups Friday night (4/20) and returning them Saturday night (4/21) after the shootout is over. recommending* that all Tuesday night teams try to reschedule.
Thursday soft tip league does not play this week, so that might be a good
night for many of you. Captains, please read over Article 2, Section
2 of the Rules if you plan to
reschedule. Among other considerations, you will need to notify your

It bears repeating since there is no provision in the rules for what to do if your team shoots short, to make the sheet still add up: IF YOU PUT SOMEONE ON YOUR MATCH REPORT AND THAT PERSON DOES NOT SHOW FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE CROSS HIS/HER NAME OFF THE SHEET OR WRITE ON THE BACK OF YOUR MATCH REPORT SHEET THAT THEY DID NOT PLAY AND HAVE BOTH CAPTAINS SIGN IT.
